I built my computer last October, was working fine until february time, i would go Start>Shut Down and select shut down, the computer would turn off completely for about 5 seconds and then turn itself back on again, also on coming back on it would say: 1) CMOS date/time not set 2) overclocking failed! although the date and time were set correctly and i have never tried to overclock it.
After not being able to shut it down properly (i had to resort to holding the power button in POST mode and shut it down that way) i decided i would change the CMOS battery. This worked - problem sorted!
But however shut it down yesterday and woke up this morning to find it had been on all night! shut it down again just to make sure i didn't press the wrong button and low and behold its back to its usual ways!
Any help/input as to what this problem may be and why it re-occurs would be greatly appreciated
